Mission Statement
The helping profession is constantly looking into ways of knowing and responding to human suffering and passion. The premise of our work is that art and its modes of expression is a way to explore and support transformation through the imagination.
The Expressive Arts Therapy Program offers integrative arts-based psychotherapy training with an emphasis on movement, theatre/drama, and visual arts. This is offered within an educational framework in which participants explore psychological life and develop therapeutic skills through personal and group experiential process methods, which are integrated with instructive and research learning modes.
We aim to promote the understanding and appreciation of integrating creative expression and imaginative process into therapeutic practice, and to support personal and interpersonal transformation with a healing arts approach.
We are committed to providing you with the unique skills necessary to practice as an Expressive Arts Therapist, as part of an internationally growing profession, qualified to provide services within a range of educational and clinical settings.
