Program Information

The Langara College Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) Certificate Program is a part-time, five-module program completed over one year. It focuses on practitioner hand placement with respect to the bones and membranes of the cranial system. Using gentle touch while the client is fully clothed, therapists work with the body’s innate inclination toward health to improve the function of the nervous system; reduce headaches; increase mobility and range of motion. The program is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of cranial sacral therapy and the therapeutic manual skills needed based on anatomy and physiology. You will learn a full-body protocol that you can use for client healing.

The program classes are offered over extended 3-day weekends (called modules) five times in the year. You also sign up for supervised clinic settings that work with your schedule in between class modules. These clinics provide on-going mentoring and support as you move through the curriculum.

Included in this program is a self-care component that supports the concept that in order to help others heal we need to care for ourselves. The Program includes a 60-hour practicum during the summer and is designed to fit your working schedule. Join us as we explore theory and concepts, current case studies, and hands-on therapeutic techniques.
